The 2015 NC State Law School Fair will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Talley Student Center at 2610 Cates Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27695 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. This event welcomes law schools from across the country.
This event is free and open to college students, alumni, or anyone interested in attending law school.
Workshops will be offered before the fair. All workshops will be in Talley Student Center.
LSAT Strategy Session– 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Currituck Suite: At this LSAT Strategy Session, you’ll learn about the test and the types of questions you’ll see, meet an expert Princeton Review instructor who will walk you through some difficult questions, and learn some proven strategies that you can use on test day.
Strategies for Success in Law School– 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Ocracoke Suite: Join Laura Shepard Brooks, Associate Dean for Student Services at North Carolina Central University School of Law for a discussion on how to be successful in law school. From preparing before you arrive to being ready for exams, this session will help you know what to expect in your first year and beyond!

Financing Law School– 11:15 – 12:15 p.m.
Ocracoke Suite: Join Jay Shively, Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid ay Wake Forest University School of Law for an empowering presentation on the process of navigating the financial issues that accompany attending law school.
12:15 – 1:00 p.m. Lunch Break
How Law Schools Evaluate Applications– 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Currituck Suite: Join Alan Woodlief, Senior Associate Dean for Admissions and Administration at Elon University School of Law for an overview on how law schools evaluate applications. Mr. Woodlief is also an Associate Professor of Law and Director of Moot Court Programs and can give great perspective on the application process and the law school experience.
Do’s and Don’ts: The Personal / Academic Statement– 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Ocracoke Suite: Join Michelle Adorno Cohen, Assistant Dean for Admissions at the University of Florida Levin College of Law in a discussion on the Do’s and Don’ts of the personal statement.
Law School Fair– 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Mountains/Piedmont Ballroom: Visit with representatives from over 80 law schools. If you are applying this year, make sure you ask about application fee waivers!
Guest parking is available in the Coliseum parking deck located at 201 Jeter Drive, Raleigh, NC 27695 or the Dan Allen deck located at 110 Dan Allen Drive, Raleigh NC 27695. There is a fee for parking and it requires a credit card.
